Within the local area there are of course several fantastic golf courses. There are also opportunities to try a variety of water sports, horse riding, good cycling, a varied and interesting coastal path for walks - long or short and good beaches with great views.
For those interested in the arts there is the nearby Pittenweem Arts Festival held in August; there are also many local galleries and potteries (Crail Pottery for example). Edinburgh Festival is well within reach, whilst The Byre Theatre in St Andrews puts on a good range of productions throughout the year.
There is also a wealth of local history - castles, traditional fishing villages etc - to explore and enjoy.
